LES PORTUGAL
Fashion Inside Nadia
LES stands for lower east side but it's really just meant to describe an attitude or a state of mind. That's why we love our fans from all over the world. We came across Nadia Sepulveda (My Fashion Insider), a fashion lover and blogger from Portugal who got our Nirvana Dress and really put in her own twist and take to it. We love to see how our fans re-interpret our clothes and we're so excited to see what you girls do with our new contemporary and vintage spring collection coming soon. You can see Nadia's post and blogs at :

Ms. Leeds, Ms. Leeds, Ms. Leeds
YES, Victoria!
"Mexican born, web designer, jack of all trades, photographer, stylist and nomad."
This pretty much sums up one of our favorite bloggers and LES girl, Victoria Leeds. She is the style force behind http://www.stylemarmalade.com/ in the U.K. This girl has that something that we all love and want. She can make magic out of clothes and dreams out of pictures. Needless to say, we hope that she inspires you as much as she inspires us. Take a look at what she did with our floral dress and fringe jacket. Yes, Victoria!

Let's get to it GUY BOURDIN there's nothin to it!
Remembering Guy Bourdin
We have never denied to be fashion-photo-junkies. In fact, tell us where there's a used bookstore or flea market and we are there rummaging and searching for old photography books and fashion mags. Today we're remembering Guy Bourdin whom we absolutely love. Guy was the first photographer of the 70s and 80s to create a complex narrative, then capture a moment — sensual, provocative, shocking, exotic, surrealistic, sometimes sinister — and simply associate it with a fashion item. The narratives were strange and mysterious, sometimes full of violence, sexuality, and surrealism. Even though he was much less well known to the public than his colleague Helmut Newton, Bourdin possibly has been more influential on the younger generations of fashion photographers. Just take a look at these amazing pics! xoxo

ART Contempo.
Contemporary LA
For those of you who couldn't make it this January to the annual Art Los Angeles Contemporary show we selected a few works to show you we thought were noteworthy. One of our fave pieces shown was the Broze Enameled Hermes Shopping Bag! Galleries from all over the country were there showcasing the best of their very best. Luckily we were in town and decided to take the trip and experience the expo with some great people watching just for good measure. xo

Fashions Week Out
Amy Wow!
We are so excited and ready for Fashion Week! We are pretty much all over the board when it comes to designers we like. So instead of writing about the conventional ones we took note on Amy Yao, a new designer we checked out. Amy Yao’s 25-piece collection of clothing and jewelry was shown in a special public performance at the JF & Son storefront on University Place in New York. Highlights include the multicolored and monotone sequined bodysuits; “YYSL,” a transparent dress with a skirt of synthetic hair; and “Neck Beard,” a necklace made from lime green-colored synthetic hair. Yao considers each piece a work of art, “activated by the presence of someone wearing them, so the consumer becomes the performer without knowing it”. Here are some images of those garments. ENJOY! xoxo

Album Covers We Loved
Sexy then, sexy now.
Recently, we were going through our last inspiration board for our current campaign and lookbook and we discovered that alot of what inspired us were album covers from the nineties. Here are a few that we loved and wanted to share with you. Sexy, right? We have been getting our inspiration board together for our spring/summer campaign and lookbook shoot and we're ready for LES' new look. We will be carrying NEW CLOTHING in our online shop http://www.lesvintage.com/ so that we may offer a full size range of clothes and style to everyone. We will still be offering vintage finds so that you can mix-and-match our new and vintage clothes together.
We love to look back at the past and enjoy being in the present. xoxo LES
